Trespass

On Thursday, August 8, Security was notified of a possible homeless person walking on Tidewater Way towards Midpoint. A patrol officer located the individual, who appeared lost and stated he was trying to head back to Florida. The individual requested some medical assistance for a previous injury that was giving him some trouble. The man was taken to the BP station at his request and awaited Chatham Emergency Services (CES). The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

 

Traffic Safety

At this time, the Guardian Pro camera/LIDAR system has not been placed back into service since it was removed in preparation for Hurricane Debby. To date, 326 fines have been issued to residents, 45 fines to vendors, and 13 fines to employees.

Appeals Committee

On August 14 - 16, the Appeals Committee heard 23 appeals requests. All the requests were related to speeding citations. The Appeals Committee has 10 days to render their decision on each case.

TLA Rules and Regulations Enforcement (sans Guardian Pro)

  • Eight $50 citations were issued to residents for placing yard debris on common property prior to Tropical Storm Debby.
  • A $250 citation was issued to a resident for vandalism.
