Vehicle Accident

On Saturday, July 6, Security responded to Green Island Road for a vehicle accident with possible injuries. Upon arrival, Chatham County Fire Rescue (CCFR) already was on scene conducting active fire suppression on a vehicle fire in the ditch on the west side of the road. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were standing on the side of the road upon Security’s arrival. The driver of the vehicle simply stated that the vehicle went out of control. While speaking with an officer from Chatham County Police Department (CCPD), the driver of the vehicle walked away from the scene and could not be located. The passenger of the vehicle was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. At approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, the driver of the vehicle arrived home and was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Road Rage Incident

On Friday, July 5, Security and CCPD responded to a road rage incident between two residents. CCPD took over the investigation and advised one of the residents not to follow anyone in the future.

Traffic Safety

The Guardian Pro camera/LIDAR system remained on Landings Way South near Black Hawk Trail North. From July 3 - 9, the system recorded 132 violations, with the highest recorded speed being 56 MPH. There were 86 letters with fines sent out for the week. The total amount of fines assessed was $8,950. To date, there have been 11 fines paid, totaling $1,150.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TLA Rules and Regulations Enforcement

  • Warnings were issued to residents and guests for overnight parking on the street, parking in an unauthorized area, and fishing without a resident present.
