Atlanta Gas Light Work at The Main Gate

Atlanta Gas Light continues to work on the installation of 8” gas main lines behind the Main Gate. Staff met with Atlanta Gas Light management this week to develop a plan to minimize damage to the Main Gate entry lane and asked them to hold off on this work until after the 4th of July holiday, which they agreed to. Once all piping is installed, it will take their crews three-to-four weeks to connect, pressure test, clean, and gas the new main lines.

Dog Park Maintenance

On Tuesday, in-house staff, in conjunction with BrightView, completed maintenance in The Dog Park (both the small and large parks). The annual maintenance included tree trimming, pressure washing, turf maintenance, and downfall collection.

McWhorter Bridge Inspection

Last week and again on Wednesday, the McWhorter bridge underwent inspections. Any loose boards had their lag bolts retightened. On Wednesday, a broken picket was discovered and was replaced.
