Landings Harbor Marina Collecting Red Snapper Carcasses for the Coastal Resources Division

You can help the Coastal Resources Division (CRD) of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources in collecting data when recreational red snapper harvest is open on Friday, July 12 by donating the carcasses of the fish. Freezers collecting the carcasses will be located along the Georgia coast, including one at Landings Harbor Marina. The freezer at Landings Harbor is located in the fish cleaning shack and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Delegal Creek Marina will not be involved with this project and will not be collecting red snapper carcasses.

The red snapper fish carcasses will be examined by CRD biologists to gather data on age, size, and growth. This information will be shared with regional and federal partners and used in fishery management.

As a thank you for donating, two lucky donors will be chosen at random to receive a $50 Academy Sports gift card.
