When Do I Need a Permit to Make Changes to My Home and What Do I Need to Provide?

Wed, 05/22/2024

For information about permits to make changes to your home, visit TLA's Permitting Portal. There you can find information on submission requirements, submit applications, check the status or review an existing application, and schedule inspections.

The portal can be accessed by residents at The Landings Association’s website (www.landings.org) through an icon (see image below) found on the homepage or click here

Whenever you are considering new construction, additions or alterations to your existing home, landscaping improvements, and other improvements that will impact the outward appearance of your home, you are encouraged to email the Community Development Department (Cdd@landings.org)  to determine what review process is required and the application that must be submitted. While many items can be reviewed and approved by staff, a number of applications require review and approval by the Architectural Review Committee (ARC)

The ARC is comprised of resident volunteers who represent the common interests of The Landings members by interpreting and enforcing Guideline standards in a fair, reasonable, and equitable manner. In addition to items that require architectural review, projects such as bush hogging, installing a for sale by owner signs, and placing ancillary equipment such as dumpsters, portable toilets, or storage units at a work site require the submission of an application and the associated fee.
