CDD Weekly Update

The CDD team has been busy this week. Following is a closer look at what they've been working on.

Private Property Maintenance Standards

Staff performed routine inspections along the Marshwood Golf Course. Follow-up and requested inspections were conducted throughout the island. This week, five properties were contacted regarding new violations of the Private Property Maintenance Standards, and eight properties were contacted to provide courtesy education regarding property maintenance standards.

Community Development Permitting Portal Launch
This week, the Community Development Department in coordination with Citizenserve, launched an online permitting portal that contains helpful resources and allows for the submission of applications, document uploads, payment of review fees, scheduling of inspections, and more. Accessing the portal is easy from the icon located on TLA's website (www.landings.org) This process improvement will benefit property owners, contractors, installers, builders, architects, and designers by allowing a one-stop shop experience. Because this software platform already is used to manage Private Property Maintenance cases, for convenience, all current homeowners and property owners already have an account set up in the system. An email was distributed inviting owners to visit the portal to retrieve their username and password along with some informative videos for how to log in and how to submit an application.
