Center Island and TLA Amenity Pine Straw Application

The annual pine straw application of the primary and secondary center islands and amenity areas started this week, with crews working at gates and amenity areas. Next week, the contractor will begin work on the center islands located in the Marshwood section of the community. As a reminder, the pine straw application along the center islands is completed annually and is funded operationally.

Gate Sod Replacement

BrightView, in conjunction with GCR of the Lowcountry, will replace the St. Augustine turf at the Moon River and Marshview Landing Gates (located on Green Island Road) with New Empire Zoysia next week. The costs associated with the sod replacement are included within our landscape contract with BrightView to further enhance and improve the areas around the gates. 

Curb and Community Path Panel Repairs

This week, Absolute Concrete completed damaged curb repairs on Captains Crossing. They will begin working on the repair of damaged community path panels in Palmetto section of the community next week.

2024 Road Repair and Maintenance Project

Bennett Paving completed the milling and paving and traffic flow restoration at the Main Gate this week. Staff, in conjunction with Bennett Paving will work on any punch list items for this year’s project, along with various small asphalt repairs throughout the community.
