CCA May Seminar

Courtney Reich of GA Conservancy is the guest speaker for CCA Skidaway’s monthly seminar on Monday, May 13 starting at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (3 Ridge Road).

The Georgia Conservancy is a statewide, donor-supported conservation organization that is dedicated to the protection and conservation of our state’s most precious natural places. They recognize the connection between a healthy environment, a thriving economy, and equity in the work that they do.

Reich, shown at right, is the Coastal Director for the Georgia Conservancy, where she leads coastal office policy and engagement initiatives out of Georgia Conservancy’s Savannah office. Prior to her work in the nonprofit world, she was an environmental consultant specializing in stormwater management consulting and land use planning for cities and Counties.

Courtney is an AICP-certified planner and a Certified Floodplain Manager with a BS in Geology from Tufts University and a MS in Marine Science from the Martin Ryan Institute at the National University of Ireland, Galway. After moving to Savannah in 2000, Courtney started her career at the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography. She is married with three adult children and a fur baby who routinely gets long walks at Skidaway Island State Park!

CCA is offering two raffle prizes for this month -- two $100 gift cards to Castaways in Sandfly.
