Skidaway Abigails March 14 Meeting

Join the Skidaway Abigails at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 at Messiah Lutheran Church to welcome Staci Fox, President and CEO of the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute (GBPI). In a program titled, Who Is Minding The Store?, Staci will discuss her role in monitoring our state legislature, concentrating on economic opportunity and well-being for all Georgians. GBPI produces research and state budget analysis to show Georgia ways to provide equitable education, healthcare, and opportunity for everyone. While analyzing state budget proposals, Staci and her organization promote initiatives like paid medical leave, expanded eligibility for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, increasing the state minimum wage, closing the Medicaid coverage gap, and empowering immigrant communities.
