Kindness is for Humans and Animals, too!
My husband and I were on a long boating trip last year called The Great Loop. We woke up one morning to find this huge and perfect spider web attached to our outdoor chair. Where many people would sweep it away, Bill and I appreciated the beauty of it and we let it stay, as well as the spider. Our kindness was not for a human, but for one of God’s creatures all the same. We left his home alone and marveled at his work. Later that same morning, a guest on the boat docked in front of us heard that we had been waiting for a mechanic to fix a problem with a leaking coolant. It turns out he was a mechanic from Green Turtle Bay. He volunteered to check out our engine room and found the origin of the leaking coolant. This allowed us to order the part we needed and probably saved us several days of waiting. We were so very grateful. So, we showed kindness to a spider and received kindness from a fellow boater all in one morning in Clewiston, Florida.
