2024 Road Repair and Maintenance Project - Main Gate

Absolute Concrete completed the installation of curbing on Landings Way South between Tidewater Way and Activity Drive this week as part of widening of this section of road in preparation for the Main Gate resurfacing.

The Main Gate closure is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 1. Staff began communicating this closure last week and will continue communicating, along with the inclusion of a map to assist with detours during this project.

Club Car Championship Preparations

Staff continued preparations for the Club Car Championship golf tournament in Deer Creek this week. Preparations include the installation of new plantings and pine straw, a second application of dye in the lagoons, tree stump removals and roadway pruning/uplifting, along with additional street sweeping cycles throughout Deer Creek.

Fish Stocking in Lagoons

Staff partnered with CCA this week to stock more than 50,000 bait fish in various freshwater lagoons throughout the community. This is an annual program funded by CCA which is designed to supplement and help sustain the amazing natural resource of recreational fishing in The Landings. The number of bait fish that are stocked in each lagoon is directly correlated to the data gathered during the electrofishing study that was conducted last week. A big thank you to CCA and their volunteers for funding this amazing program!
