Your Next Adventure 2.0!

Soon after this article is published, we will host our second seminar, titled Your Next Adventure. The subject: When it’s time to relocate from The Landings to an independent or assisted living community, what’s involved? Last year’s event was so well received, the following participating communities are joining us this year to begin to answer just that question.

We hope to help you identify the communities you’d like to learn more about and begin to answer your real estate questions related to marketing, selling, and then making the transition from your Landings home.

Below are some sample Frequently Asked Questions that we expect to be discussed:

  • Once there has been a decision made to move, is there a waiting list?  Can you estimate the wait time?
  • How will I know when to put my home on the market?
  • Can you tell us about the varied sizes of spaces available in your community, and are they only available for independent living? What sizes are available for Assisted Living?
  • Is there help in preparing our new home for us before we move in (e.g., painting, moving furniture, etc.)?
  • Can I have overnight guests in my apartment? Can my grandkids or kids come and stay?
  • What is the average increase? Does it happen regularly?
  • Can you describe the Meal Programs you offer?
  • Are any Senior Living costs tax deductible?
  • What is the staff to resident ratio in Assisted Living? In Memory Care?
  • Does your community have transportation services for doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, etc.? How often, and are there added costs?
  • Are there planned activities available and if so, can you tell us a bit about them?

We at The Landings Company, along with our partners at these communities, regularly help Landings residents through this transition in more ways than you may realize. Whether you intend to make the change soon or over the next couple of years, our hope is to present the resources to make you the most informed you can be about a number of choices, along with the current real estate environment and other components to make it as smooth a transition as possible.

We hope to see you there!

The Landings Company is 100% self-funded from the sales commission revenue we generate. We continue to nationally market The Landings, which benefits all of our property values, with your support when selling your home, referring friends and family or renting your home. Thank you for your support in 2023 and for 2024!
