President’s Update - February 22, 2024

Thu, 02/22/2024

At the Board’s recent retreat, we reviewed initiatives and ideas to continue our partnership with The Landings Golf & Athletic Club, plus actions related to the Community Survey, and Strategic Plan.

Four recent activities include:

  • Continuing our discussions with the Club on how to proceed with plans for additional Franklin Creek athletic area parking solutions.
  • The Guardian Pro traffic radar capability is in use. While we want to encourage compliance with our traffic Rules and Regulations, courtesy notices and then ultimately fines are being issued.
  • Staff presented several options for improvements to our roads and signage based on the recent Traffic Study.
  • Board and staff are working on action plans to address areas for important traffic improvements.

In addition to the above:

  • Work will begin on repairs to the Main Gate roads this spring. Milling and resurfacing the pavement is expected to take a week. Before the work begins, think about how you will access The Landings through the North Gate or Oakridge Gate.
  • Begin Phase Two of the Landings Harbor dry stack replacement project that will continue to increase boat and storage capacities.
  • We strongly support the focus on common courtesy, responsibility, and safety on community amenities, paths, and roads. Thanks to the Communications Committee for developing this initiative.

Finally, our Board has taken the opportunity to gather information about the proposed Grand Harbor special membership category. We appreciate all who have expressed your thoughts and concerns and asked for TLA’s position. We value that feedback. Our decision will be communicated to you soon.

Thank you!
