On the Security Scene
Dog Incident
On Saturday, January 13, Security and Chatham County Animal Services responded to Middle Marsh Retreat for a report of a dog vs. dog incident, which led to a resident being bitten. The complainant advised that he witnessed a woman walking two dogs and another dog that was loose. One of the leashed dogs began barking at the loose dog and began fighting with it. The complainant attempted to help separate the dogs and was bitten by one of the leashed dogs. It is unknown if any of the dogs were injured in the fight. The owner of the loose dog arrived on scene to take possession of her pet and was informed about the incident. Contact was attempted with the owner of the leashed dogs but unsuccessfully at the time. Animal Services cited the owner of the loose dog for having a dog at large. As a reminder, any pet which is off the property of the owner must be leashed.
