TLA has launched a campaign - “Our Home, Our Family” with the January catchphrase “Courtesy Is Contagious - Catch It!”

Our parents reared us to be polite and courteous to others. Mine did and I’m sure yours did, too. Moreso than making those who are on the receiving end of kind acts feel good, we make ourselves happier people when we treat others with respect and dignity. It is indeed better to give than to receive.

After having lived at The Landings 40 years, I can attest that we have a wonderful collection of residents on our island home. Random acts of kindness, good manners and generosity are not uncommon.

The campaign, I believe, is not intended to chastise, but is to take us to an even higher level of caring and awareness of respect for our neighbors.
