Vehicle Vs. Vehicle

On November 6, Chatham Emergency Services (CES), Landings Security, and Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) responded to a vehicle crash on Pepper Bush Road and Westscross Road. Both vehicles received significant damage and were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

Golf Cart Vs. Golf Cart

On November 4, Chatham Emergency Services, Landings Security and Chatham County Police Department responded to a crash on Westcross Road involving two golf carts. One of the drivers was taken to a local hospital and charged by CCPD with DUI.

Vehicle vs Vehicle

On November 2, Chatham Emergency Services, Landings Security, and Chatham County Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at the 4-way stop (McWhorter Road/Diamond Causeway). One vehicle rear ended the other vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Assistance Requested

On November 6, Landings Security responded to a request for assistance regarding a verbal altercation between a resident and a crew digging to install fiber optics. The incident was de-escalated once Security confirmed the worker’s reason and authority to dig within the property’s easement.

Guardian Pro Speed/Camera System

The Guardian Pro System captured 2,937 vehicles at or above 43 MPH on Landings Way South from October 23-31. Formal training by TrafficLogix staff for the Security Department’s Supervisors is scheduled for November 10. Residents are reminded of our speed limit, which is 30 MPH unless posted otherwise. Landings Way South is one of the few exceptions, and the posted speed limit is 35 MPH for that particular street.

Warnings and Citations

  • Warnings and citations were issued to vendors for not displaying logos on RFID-equipped vehicles and/or for not using safety cones.
  • Warnings were issued for overnight street parking.
  • A final warning was issued for a trailer parked on private property.
  • A fine was issued for placing dry trash on a storm drain and common property.
