Beehive Temporarily Placed at Sunset Park

Last week, Asian yellow-legged hornets, an invasive species, were trapped at Sunset Park by Georgia Department of Agriculture representatives. To safely remove and trap these hornets, a beehive was placed at Sunset Park in an attempt to trap and remove them from our western marsh. The Georgia Department of Agriculture anticipates the hive to remain at Sunset Park for two weeks.
