Landings Harbor Parking Lot Closure

Please note: Crews will be re-sealing the back section of the parking lot, weather permitting, on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 17-18.  There will be limited Marina parking on those days. If possible, we would recommend that you use a golf cart when visiting Landings Harbor Marina on those days.

All unauthorized trailers, vehicles, and boats in the rear of the parking lot will be removed at the owner’s expense.

Landings Harbor Store

It’s beginning to look a bit like Halloween in the store. No tricks in our store, unless you count our harmless snapping alligator that growls! We have lots of Landings Marinas merchandise. The weather is getting a bit cooler in the mornings and evenings. We have rain jackets (sizes available are L, XL, and XXL), terry sweatshirts, lightweight hoodies, and quarter zips. New items are on order and will arrive mid-November, the perfect timing for your holiday shopping! We just got the ice cream freezer re-stocked with Leopold’s single serve cups. We now carry vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip, coffee, strawberry, peanut butter chippy, and butter pecan. Yum!

Pictured above are Paul Evans, the most active of all the sailors, and Angela Margolit who organizes and runs the Basic Sailing Course. Some of our J19s were out during a Rhodes Regatta last weekend.

There will be a Beer Can Race on Friday, October 13. The final Beer Can Race of the year will be Friday, October 27.

Please follow this link (TLSC 2023 Fall Newsletter) for the latest news from The Landings Sailing Club.

There will be a Basic Sailing Course led by a certified Society for the Education of American Sailors (SEAS) instructor in collaboration with local sailors from The Landings Sailing Club (TLSC). The class is intended to teach the basics of sailing to those 21 and over who have never been on a sailboat, as well as those with some experience. The two-day, intensive course includes an interactive classroom instruction plus an on-the-water session to practice boat and sail-handling skills. The next scheduled class is Saturday, October 28, from 9 am to 3 pm. The water session will be held the following Tuesday or Wednesday based on student and instructor availability, weather, and tides. The cost of the course is $100 per student, $25 of which will be refunded if you join TLSC within 30 days. For questions or to register, contact Angela Margolit (973-296-8011 or amargolit@hotmail.com).

Landings Harbor Storage

Dry, wet, and jet ski storage are full, and we will continue to maintain all wait lists. We are beginning to prepare for Phase Two of the Dry Rack Storage Project that will begin at the end of this year. To do so, we need to plan on where to place the boats that are currently in the racks that will be temporarily displaced.

Delegal Creek Marina (DCM)

Operating hours  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily

Guardian Fuel Technologies performed maintenance on the fuel lines Wednesday requiring the fuel to be shut down. Two shut-off valves and a section of piping were replaced. We apologize for the inconvenience during the maintenance. In the long run, necessary maintenance on the fuel system will ensure that the fuel system is up to code and performing as intended.

We seem to be attracting more and more birds every year. That said, if you have a boat at the marina, you may consider going the extra mile with an array of bird deterring apparatuses. The staff is doing its best to clean the docks daily.

Save the Date!  Food Truck Fridays are coming to DCM today, (Friday, October 13) and October 27

You do not want to miss the great food selections from Naked DogBowtie BBQ, and Jonny Boy Cookies. Enjoy starting off your weekend without having to worry about what’s for dinner! Grab your family, friends and neighbors and head down to our beautiful Marina on the south end of the island. The food trucks will accept cash and credit cards.
