Chatham Continues Yard Debris Collection in The LandingsĀ

Chatham County Public Works still is working to collect yard debris countywide after Hurricane Idalia.

County Public Works crews were on island yesterday September 19 and 20. The County is making progress, and residents are asked to remain patient and know that although everything is not yet collected, the County's Public Works team will continue working until all storm debris in our community is removed. At the time of this email, Chatham County does notĀ have a schedule of special collection dates and times by location.

As a reminder, the County has placed yellow tags on some debris piles, which is an indication to their crews that removal will require use of larger equipment. Smaller piles and bags of debris may be collected sooner than the larger piles, as Chatham County has more equipment capable of collecting those items.

TLAā€™s rule on Yard Debris being placed curbside no more than 24 hours in advance of collectionĀ remains relaxed, so members do not have to be concerned with receiving violation notices.
