Chatham County to Continue Yard Debris Collection in The Landings Next Tuesday (September 19)

Chatham County Public Works still is working to collect yard debris countywide after Hurricane Idalia.

County Public Works officials say crews will return to The Landings next Tuesday (September 19) to continue Yard Debris (Dry Trash) pickup. The County has placed yellow tags on some debris piles, which is an indication to their crews that removal will require use of larger equipment. Smaller piles and bags of debris may be collected sooner than the larger piles, as Chatham County has more equipment capable of collecting those items.

The Landings Association understands it may take some time for the County to collect all the debris in the community. TLA’s rule on Yard Debris being placed curbside no more than 24 hours in advance of collection remains relaxed, so members do not have to be concerned with receiving violation notices.
