Chatham County Returns Tomorrow (September 9) to Collect Yard Debris (Dry Trash)

Chatham County Public Works still is working to collect the debris left behind by Hurricane Idalia. The team was on-island today (September 8) picking up Bulk Trash and Yard Debris (Dry Trash), and will return tomorrow to pick up the remaining yard debris.

Debris should be placed in the right-of-way, behind the curb, or along the edge of the pavement. Remember, yard debris should not be placed on storm drain caps, roadways, or in the gutter valleys along the roadways. Additionally, do not allow your lawn contractors or tree companies to place items on the curb or Common Property. Chatham County will not pick up debris on Common Property.
