On the Security Scene
Suspicious Text
On August 21, Landings Security received a call from a resident regarding a suspicious text. The text stated that the home of a resident was of interest for purchase. The person texting wanted to know if he could set a time to discuss a deal on selling the home. After further investigation, it was determined this was nothing more than a modern-day cold call. Real Estate Agents often use this technique. However, If the message is from an agent, they usually will include their company information. If this information is not included, someone might be trying to get access to your personal information. Please take caution, and never give out personal information.
