Holiday Weekend Recap

We completed more than 470 moves during the long weekend. It seems the boating activity was evenly spread out over the four days, due to the holiday falling on a Tuesday. We had approximately 15% of total boat moves that we completed originally scheduled through BoatCloud on each of those days. We would love to have more boaters use the reservation app. It is an effective communication tool between the boater and the Marinas team. Although we still ask you to physically check in with us when you arrive, before we put the boat in the water, it is important for staffing and time management reasons to have the reservation in the BoatCloud.  Please call us (912-598-1901), if you have any questions or need assistance getting your account set up.

If you visit the BoatCloud app and there are no reservation time slots left, please call the Marinas for assistance. We ask that all boat move requests be made prior to the last half hour of operations.

We thank the Bowdens for treating us to their infamous barbecue chicken sandwiches and to the Seniwongs for delicious donuts this past weekend. Our team truly appreciates treats, especially on the busy weekends.

We have restocked our AFTCO fishing shirts with the custom-embroidered Landings Harbor burgee on the chest, and have added a mint green color. These sell out quickly, so don’t wait to get yours. We also received more of the adorable toddler solar shirts in sizes 2T-5T. Keep them protected from the sun while sporting these cute designs. We also have toddler-sized baseball caps!

The Landings Sailing Club

The Landings Sailing Club will host its Beer Can Race followed by a social gathering at the Dockside Bar (tiki hut) this Friday.

Dry, wet, and jet ski slips all are full. We will continue to maintain the wait lists and fill openings based on availability and boat size.

Delegal Creek Marina

Operating Hours 8 AM – 5 PM Daily

We had a very busy four days starting on July 1, and all went very smoothly. A few boats from Landings Harbor stayed with us along with some residents’ boats that paid to stay at Delegal Creek Marina for those days. I thank everyone for reaching out beforehand so we could make sure they docked in an acceptable space. Kudos!

On another positive note, we’re glad to see all the crab traps are properly labeled. We hope you all are successful in your attempts.

We've added another single kayak to our rental fleet. That gives us one double and seven single kayaks. We still recommend calling ahead to make sure they are available when you want to rent them, especially on weekends. Our staff can help you with any questions regarding tides and currents for an optimal experience. Included with your rental are comfortable, vest-style life jackets and kayak paddles.

Lastly, as most of you know we have waiting lists for spaces at both Marinas. If you are on the list and aren't interested, sold your boat, or for any other reason you don't need to be on the list, please update us. This way when asked how long the list is, we can give a more accurate number. This is especially important to potential new homeowners who use this information to weigh in on their decision to make The Landings home.

Wise Wilderness Kayak Kamp

WISE, Wilderness Southeast, is offering Kayak Kamp at Delegal Marina July 11-13 and July 17-19. The sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon. These sessions are for ages 9-15, beginners, and those with advanced skill sets. Participants will build kayak confidence, learn coastal ecology, and play games. The fee is $150 per person.
