Budget Box: Online Payment Portal

Happy one-year anniversary to the online payment portal! As a service-based organization, The Landings Association constantly is challenged to seek better and more innovative approaches to operations. From benchmarking against other property owner associations to meeting with vendors, TLA staff always strive to manage efficiency, while improving customer service.

Finance staff developed and launched the online payment portal to the community on June 8, 2022, and member participation continues to grow since inception. The online payment portal is an additional tool that residents can use to view non-assessment transactions, historical information for charges and payments, and initiate a secure payment via credit card for charges placed on account.

As of this writing, there are 997 users enrolled, with 104 participating in the autopay option, totaling more than $680,000 in transaction payments at the one-year anniversary.

Regardless of whether you are a new user, an upcoming user, or a current user that enjoys a refresher, we listed below the general workflow and experience with the online payment portal.

  • The online portal can be utilized for non-assessment related charges. Example: Marinas fees
  • Automatic email notifications are sent each time a charge/invoice posts to a customer account from support@payfabric.com.
  • All accounts will continue to receive a monthly statement (electronically or paper) that summarizes the individual invoices that were posted to the account throughout the month.
  • You have the option to pay through the online payment portal when the invoice posts and you receive the email notification.
  • You can enroll in autopay within the online portal. All posted charges will automatically be paid without logging in to initiate a payment.
  • The option to pay upon receipt of your monthly statement via cash, check, online payment, or monthly ACH draft (enrollment required) is still available.
  • Your monthly ACH draft will continue uninterrupted if you are currently enrolled.

It is our hope that by providing the online payment option as an additional tool, staff can increase customer service while adapting to the evolving needs of our growing community. Access to the online portal can be found on the homepage of The Landings Association’s website (www.landings.org) or by visiting bit.ly/3Mz8vgV.
