Landings Harbor Happenings

Activity at the Harbor has picked up since the weather has warmed up. We appreciate everyone’s patience on busy weekends. We ask that you use the BoatCloud App to request boat moves and please remember to alert a Marinas team member when you arrive so we can expedite your request. The lack of staging space in our basin prohibits our ability to complete a boat move without your presence. Walk-up requests will be asked to wait until those who have scheduled their boat move in BoatCloud are completed.

We remind everyone to not walk along the bulk heads on the sea wall. This can be very dangerous. There are signs posted to remind you not to walk along this area.

When fishing off the outside of the pier, please remember to clean up after yourself. This includes washing down the fish cleaning stations and removing any trash debris.  Many residents simply enjoy walking along the pier and taking in the beautiful water views.

Crab Traps

If you set crab traps on the outside of the fishing pier, you may possess up to six standard size crab traps (two feet by two feet) with two escape rings on each trap and a fluorescent green buoy bearing the owner’s name and address in one-inch letters. Recreational crabbers may take no more than one bushel of crabs during any 24-hour period. You need to tend to your traps every 24-hours or they may be removed. Visit www.coastalgadnr.org to learn about Georgia laws and regulations on recreational crabbing. Remember, you must a valid Georgia recreational fishing license to trap crabs. Fishing License can be purchased online (www.goOutdoorsGeorgia.com).

Free Vessel Safety Checks

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering FREE Vessel Safety Checks at Landings Harbor Marina on Saturday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vessels can be checked in a wash rack before you launch or in the water. Please allow extra time before your planned departure on that Saturday to participate. If you are unable to make that date you can call to get a Safety Check anytime as an LHM slip holder. Please call Jay Gleeson with any questions (912-783-0269).
