Free Vessel Safety Checks

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering FREE Vessel Safety Checks at Landings Harbor Marina on Saturday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vessels can be checked in a wash rack before you launch or in the water.  Please allow extra time before your planned departure on that Saturday to participate. If you are unable to make that date you can call to get a Safety Check anytime as an LHM slip holder. Please call Jay Gleeson (912-783-0269) with any questions.

Landings Harbor Store

The store is open during Marina hours every day. Everyone is welcome to come in and shop whether you are a boater or not. We often hear people say it is the best hidden gem on the island. If you haven’t stopped in yet, please do.  We carry Landings Harbor apparel and merchandise, snacks, ice cream, candy, cold beverages, boat washing and fishing supplies, sunscreen, and other items. You may charge purchases to your Landings Association account (not Landings Club account). You will receive notice of your purchase by email with the option to pay online.  If that is the only time you plan on buying something that month you may go ahead and pay that invoice online.  If you pay a monthly boat storage fee, or plan to make multiple purchases during the month, you may prefer to wait for your Landings Association Monthly Statement and pay it all at once.  We also accept Visa, Mastercard and cash. We are dog friendly and look forward to seeing our favorite four-legged friends each day! Most dogs know where the treats are!

“Splish-splash, oh no, there goes my phone!”

The basin has claimed three phones in the last week. We carry the AquaVault waterproof floating phone case in the store. Don’t let your phone be next! Phones are expensive to replace and retrieving the information when a phone is lost is unnerving. Protect your investment and maintain your peace of mind!

New Faces at Landings Harbor Marina

We have some new faces at the marina! Cade is our new full-time team member, dockhand/forklift driver in training. Cade is a US Sailing 1 Instructor who will use his skills and knowledge of boating to this position. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. Reese is a recent high school graduate who will be attending Arkansas State University in the Fall. Rylan will be heading into his junior year in high school in the Fall. Please help us welcome them!

The Landings Sailing Club

The Beer Can Race/Social was cancelled last Friday due to the extremely blustery conditions. Saturdays weather didn’t prove to be any better. The Landings Sailing Club members were then very anxious to get out on the water Sunday. The wind kicked up just in time to move ahead with the races.  Four races were held. Scholar was the overall winner, with Peter Pan and Susan B right there behind them.

Landings Harbor Storage

The newly opened dry storage slips are filling up quickly from the wait list. We expect to have it fully occupied within the next two weeks. The wet slips and jet ski spaces are 100% full. We will continue to maintain the wait lists and fill openings based on availability and boat size.

For those of you inconvenienced by the few power outages this weekend we apologize. he good news is that it's believed to have been caused by work being done up the street and not a Marina issue. Otherwise, we hope everyone had a nice holiday!
