Property Damage

On May 17, Landings Security responded to an incident of property damage at 3 Westshell Court. A witness stated that a Chatham County trash truck struck the mailbox and post. The driver of the trash truck did not stop and left the area. Chatham County Public Works Department will be made aware of the damage and cost for repairs. Leaving the scene of a property damage crash is a crime under Georgia State Law.

 

Reported Gunshots

On May 19, Landings Security responded to a report of what sounded like gunshots fired in the area of Longfellow Lane and Hemingway Circle. Patrols were dispatched to the area to attempt to locate the cause. No additional calls were received, and no indications of gunshots were found.

Motor Vehicle Crashes

On May 20, Landings Security responded to a motor vehicle crash at Tidewater Way and Camberwell Place. The driver struck the curb, a mailbox, and another curb. Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) was contacted and responded.

On May 21, Landings Security responded to a motor vehicle crash in the visitor’s lane at the Main Access Control Facility (Main Gate). A visitor was stopped and speaking with a Security Officer when the driver of another vehicle approached from behind striking the stopped vehicle. CCPD was contacted and responded.

On May 22, Landings Security responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Diamond Causeway and Lake Street. Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) was contacted and responded.

Unauthorized Fire

On May 22, Landings Security responded to Franklin Creek Road South regarding unauthorized burning of yard debris. Upon arrival, Security contacted a vendor who was burning a pile of leaves in the side yard. The vendor was unaware of The Landings Associations Rules and Regulations on fires. The vendor was ordered to extinguish the fire he was issued a warning citation for the violation.

Warnings and Citations

  • Warnings & fines were issued to vendors for not displaying logos on RFID-equipped vehicles and/or for not using safety cones.
  • A warning was issued to an under aged golf cart driver.
  • A warning was issued for parking a boat and trailer in a driveway overnight.
  • Warnings were issued for operating golf carts in no cart zones.
  • A warning was issued for overnight street parking.
  • A warning was issued for a covered vehicle in a driveway.
