Residential Burglary

On April 29, Landings Security received a call from a resident who was out of town and discovered her wallet missing. The residence was left unlocked while she had gone to visit a friend prior to leaving. All credit cards were deactivated. The resident received notification from a creditor that one of her credit cards had attempted to be used but was declined. The resident will file a report with Chatham County Police Department (CCPD). Currently, there are no suspects.

Reported Gunshots

On May 2, Landings Security responded to several reports of what sounded like gunshots from the areas of Deer Creek and Oakridge. Patrols were deployed into the areas to attempt to locate the cause. It was determined that the “gunshots” were actually large fireworks being ignited from the Butter Bean Beach area. CCPD responded to the area and contacted the individuals discharging the fireworks.

Gated Community Security Managers Association (GCSMA) Conference

Tim Cook, Captain Thone, Sgt. Bundy, Sgt. Waclawski, and Sgt. Roberts will be attending GCSMA’s bi-annual meeting in Florida to meet with other high-end, residential community security leaders, General Managers, and Executive Directors.
