Electrical Fire in Electrical box

On April 19, Landings Security and Chatham Emergency Services (CES) responded to an electrical fire inside a locked electrical box in a resident’s front yard. Upon arrival, smoke was coming from the electrical box. CES used a fire extinguisher to suppress the fire and notified Georgia Power of the incident. A check of the residence was conducted by CES with no electrical issue found. The cause of the fire was undetermined.

On April 22, Landings Security observed two trucks tailgating into the community through the Oakridge Gate. The incident was seen on camera. One truck entered immediately behind another truck that had a weekly pass. Upon contacting the drivers of the trucks, each had weekly passes. However, the drivers did not want to stop at the callbox to be granted access.
