Pianist Chaeyoung Park to Open The Arts at Messiah 2023: May 12

The Arts at Messiah will open its 2023 season with a solo piano recital from the extraordinary pianist Chaeyoung Park on May 12 at 7 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church (1 West Ridge Road).  

As winner of the 2019 Hilton Head International Piano Competition and winner of the 2022 YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, Park has been praised as a passionate pianist who “does not play a single note without thought or feeling” (New York Concert Review).  

Her program will include Schumann’s Arabeske, selections from Rachmaninoff’s Preludes and Études, Scriabin’s Deux Poèmes, and Beethoven’s monumental work Hammerklavier Sonata. Reservations not required. There is no admission charge. However, donations for the concert series are welcomed.
