Landings Harbor Dry Storage Project

Frontier Concrete poured approximately 80 yards of concrete for the first building foundation on Saturday, March 25. We are expecting the steel rack parts to arrive during the week of April 10. While this project is going on, we continue to ask that boaters give us a few hours notice for boat moves. We appreciate your patience as we work through this project. We anticipate phase one of the project to be completed before Memorial Day weekend. As the warm weather is settling in, many have asked when our hours will be extended. Currently, we are scheduled to extend our hours beginning Memorial Day weekend.

New merchandise alert! We’ve got a hat in that is made with recycled materials with The Landings Marinas burgee embroidered on it. We also have a new lightweight custom unisex hoody in an off-white color, with a navy version coming soon after. Last but not least, we have a new AFTCO short sleeve fishing shirt with our favorite burgee embroidered above the pocket. This comes in the plaid pictured here and in light blue and navy as well. Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day all will be coming up very soon! Treat them to some Landings Marina swag!

The Landings Sailing Club

The Landings Sailing Club is collaborating with a certified SEAS (Society for the Education of American Sailors) instructor to offer a Basic Sailing Course. The class is intended to teach the basics of sailing to those 21 and over who have never been on a sailboat, as well as those with some experience. The two-day intensive course includes interactive classroom instruction plus an on-the-water session to practice boat and sail-handling skills. The next class will be May 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call Angela Margolit (973-296-8011) with any questions. To register, email her (amargolit@hotmail.com).

Geechee Sailing Club held its 44th St. Patrick’s Day Regatta last weekend. Several members of The Landings Sailing Club participated. The winds were challenging, but the races must go on, and most did!

There is a Beer Can Race this Friday followed by socializing at the Dockside Bar.

Landings Harbor Storage

The dry slips are fully occupied currently. We are using open slips currently to temporarily house boats displaced while we work on the rack replacement project. The wet slips and jet ski spaces are 100% full. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips and will fill the slips as available.

Delegal Creek Marina

Operating Hours 9 AM – 5 PM Daily

The electrical repairs continue at Delegal Creek Marina. The electrical feeds were replaced Wednesday for the panel located at B-Dock. Evans Electric is installing the switch gear in the new panel on Thursday. During the project, there have been minimal electrical service interruptions to A- and C-Docks. As the project ends, we will keep Delegal boaters informed of when we anticipate electrical service to B-Dock.
