Motor Vehicle Crash

On March 24, Landings Security handled a motor vehicle crash in the visitor’s lane at the Main Access Control Facility (Main Gate). A visitor was stopped and speaking with a Security Officer when the driver of another vehicle approached from behind, striking the stopped vehicle. Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) was contacted and responded.

Theft of Property

On March 25, Landings Security received a telephone complaint for theft of property. Two Ghost Pirates tickets were removed from their tube. The owners also reported a hat, jacket, and Club Car Championship credentials taken from their golf cart, which was parked in their driveway. The owners did not wish to file a report with CCPD and only wanted to make Landings Security aware of the incident.

On March 27, Landings Security was contacted by a resident who was moving to another home within The Landings. He noticed that a large flowerpot and some Amazon packages were missing from his front porch. He did not wish to file a report with CCPD. However, he requested extra patrols until his move was completed.

Medical without Transport

On March 25, Landings Security responded to a medical incident involving a person being ejected from a golf cart. The driver of the golf cart stated she made a hard turn to avoid being hit with a beer can that allegedly had been thrown by occupants of another golf cart. CCPD was contacted and is investigating the incident. The parents of both parties were notified.
