Landings Harbor Dry Storage Project

All the original dry rack foundation footers have been removed from the ground. A few of the larger footers that were removed intact are being scheduled for removal. The next step of the project will be forming and installing the foundations for the new dry rack building. We have temporarily relocated the boats to unoccupied dry racks and on ground-level racks throughout the marina property. There is limited access to many of them, and we have asked for a two-hour notice from our boaters so we can accommodate boat move requests in a timely manner. We anticipate phase one of the project to be complete before Memorial Day weekend.

Landings Harbor Bubbler Curtain Project

As of March 1, the Bubbler Curtain is now operating at the entrance to Landings Harbor Marina. This project is an attempt to minimize the amount of silt that settles in the basin, thus reducing the required annual dredging. Some fine tuning and additional air stations will be installed during the next low tide. By the time you read this, the system should be operating at full capacity and as designed. The air stations are at a depth of 10-to-12 feet so there are no hazards to vessels crossing over the bubbles. Landings Harbor Staff and UGA Skidaway Institute of Oceanography will begin monitoring the results for efficiency and report the results back to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. We will keep you all informed as we make further progress.

Landings Harbor Store

A new custom t-shirt has arrived with a watercolor version of Skidaway Island and surrounding areas with our two marinas marked on it. It is printed on a unisex soft ring-spun 100% cotton t-shirt. Look for new items posted here in the upcoming weeks!

Those sand gnats are just awful this time of year! You’ve heard people at the playground and around the neighborhood talking about that “bug spray in the purple bottle”. We have it in our store! Created by Landings residents who are pharmacists, Mad Pharmacist Insect Repellant is what you need to keep those bugs from ruining your fun outside. I suggest grabbing a couple bottles and leaving one in your car at all times, so you’ll never be caught unprepared.

The Landings Sailing Club

Landings Sailing Club members swapped masts from “Bearboat” to “Peter Pan”. The damaged mast will be repaired and ready to go back onto “Bearboat” when her ribs are replaced.

Landings Harbor Storage

The dry slips are fully occupied. We are using three open slips currently to temporarily house boats displaced while we work on the rack replacement project. The wet slips and jet ski spaces are 100% full. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips and will fill the slips as available.

Delegal Creek Marina

Operating Hours 9 AM – 5 PM Daily

The "No Wake Zone" buoys have been placed on both sides of the Marina. We are left with only red marker number four to place and then we will be complete.

The last of the crab pots has been removed. It was not identified so it's currently next to the dumpster. It will be put inside the dumpster in a week if not picked up.

While it may not look like it, DCM is at full capacity. There are several boats that are having work done, and some new residents are in the process of purchasing a boat to put in their slip. We hope to see everyone with their boats in the slips by summertime.

We've had a lot of movement with the DCM wet slip waiting list. If you are on it, you may want to check your status so you can be ready when I call your number.
