Ding Dong Ditch ‘em” or Skidaway’s version - “Knock, Shout & Run”

On February 19, Landings Security was notified by several residents in the Mainsail Crossing area of what appeared to be juveniles knocking on doors, trying doorknobs, and in some cases shouting they needed medical assistance and then running away. Responding Patrol Officers did not observe anyone matching the descriptions given. One resident provided video, and it is in the process of being reviewed. Chatham County Police Department also provided an extra set of eyes and a deterrence while in the community on this evening.

Property Damage

On February 18, Landings Security responded to TLA’s parking lot for damage to a basketball hoop and backboard. Juveniles in the area admitted to the damage occurring when a rock was thrown. Their parents were contacted, and TLA will seek full restitution for the damages. Chatham County Police Department responded and issued a case report number, and Public Works fixed the backboard.

Sod damage at various locations in the community was observed by Patrol Officers. A few may have been caused by the wet soil and heavy vehicles turning around. However, other areas appeared to be intentional.

Unauthorized Vendor Sign

On February 21, Michael’s Roofing was cited for displaying an unauthorized vendor sign. The sign was removed and placed at the Main ACF for collection by the vendor.
