Paving of Yam Gandy Road Begins Today (Monday, February 27)

Beginning today (Monday, February 27), Bennett Paving will start Phase 2 of the resurfacing (milling and paving) of Yam Gandy Road.  Phase 2 will include the resurfacing of Yam Gandy Road from Landings Way South (South Entrance) to Southerland Road (South Entrance). Barring any weather, plant, or mechanical delays, Phase 2 is anticipated to be completed in six days. During this time, access will be limited. However local vehicular traffic (e.g., residents, mail delivery, and emergency vehicles) will be permitted to drive on the milled surface until the paving process begins.   

The connecting roads along this section of Yam Gandy Road will not be closed completely. However, they may be restricted to single lane traffic at times. Delays are expected. Please plan accordingly. 

Please follow detour signage and choose alternate routes when available to avoid delays.
