APWA Equipment Show

This week, several Public Works staff members attended The American Public Works Association Mid-Winter Equipment Show in Perry, Georgia. The purpose of the event is to keep Public Works professionals throughout the state up to date on the best and latest equipment and services in the industry.

Community Path Maintenance

Absolute Concrete completed the Gazebo path in the Oakridge section of the community this week. TLA, in conjunction with TLC, will be working together to regrade the area around the new concrete path.

2023 Road Replacement Project

On Monday (February 13), Bennett Paving will begin this year's annual road resurfacing project with the milling of Nathanael Lane, Gumtree Lane, and Breakfast Court. After the roads have been milled, Bennett Paving will begin the paving process with Nathaniel Lane.

During this time, the community path on Breakfast Court will be closed to all golf cart traffic. Barring any weather and/or asphalt plant delays, we anticipate this portion of the capital project to take approximately five days to complete. We appreciate your continued patience and support as we improve the infrastructure located in the community.

Absolute Concrete is working ahead of Bennett Paving to repair damaged curbing along Breakfast Court, Nathanael Lane, and Wiley Bottom Road.

Perimeter Fence Repair

Staff are replacing damaged and/or deteriorated fence posts along the perimeter fence in Marshview Landing this week. Staff will continue work to repair damaged sections of perimeter fencing throughout the community until all repairs have been completed.

Marsh Outfall Cleanout

This week, BrightView has been performing its annual maintenance on the marsh outfall structures in the Marshwood section of the community. These structures accumulate sand, silt, leaves, and other organic material throughout the year and require maintenance to allow for proper drainage into the marsh. All materials removed from the structure are placed on the maintenance easement adjacent to the structure to dry. Once the piles are dry (1-3 weeks depending on weather patterns), BrightView will remove the material from the site.
