50th Anniversary Golden Nugget: Deer Creek Section of The Landings

Deer Creek was dedicated in 1991. It involved 630 acres with 260 lots platted. Through a land swap, plus the purchase of a small tract, Branigar was able to add 49 additional lots on two islands adjacent to the Deer Creek property. Of interest, is the fact that the day these lots came on the market in April, 1993, sales were made on 14 lots for a total price of $4M. This area is known as The Islands of Deer Creek.
