Marina Ship’s Store

The Marinas team worked together on The Landings Association’s staff pumpkin carving contest entry. Our angler fish pumpkin was fun to work on and create. We did not win the big prize but certainly had an edge with creativity. Congratulations to the Core team for winning with their awesome entry!

Landings Sailing Club

Tito Perez, a long-time and valued member of the Landings Sailing Club, passed away in June. A memorial gathering is planned for this Friday, October 28 at Landings Harbor. This will also be the last Beer Can Sail/Social for the year.

Basic Sailing Course – Sunday, October 30

This Basic Sailing Course is led by a certified SEAS (Society for the Education of American Sailors) instructor in collaboration with local sailors from TLSC (The Landings Sailing Club). The class is intended to teach the basics of sailing to those 21 and over who have never been on a sailboat, as well as those with some experience. The two-day intensive course includes interactive classroom instruction plus an on-the-water session to practice boat and sail-handling skills. The next scheduled class is for Sunday, October 30, from 9 am to 3 pm. The water session will be held the following Tuesday or Wednesday based on student and instructor availability, weather, and tides. The cost for the course will be $100 per student, $25 of which will be refunded if you join TLSC within 30 days. Every student needs to be a Landings resident. For questions, call Angela Margolit (973-296-8011). To register, email her (amargolit@hotmail.com).

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips. We have placed three boats from the dry storage list into vacated slips this week. There is one very small slip opening we are currently in process of filling.

Delegal Creek Marina

Operating Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily

The weather has been spectacular the past few days. The gnats and no-see-ums would agree. Five crab pots that have been unchecked for several days were removed from the water at Delegal. They are currently next to the dumpster in the parking lot. Remember that you must pull and check your traps daily, and they must be properly identified per Georgia State regulations. Each trap must be marked with a fluorescent green or lime green float bearing the owner's name and address in one-inch letters. Traps should be sufficiently weighted to prevent loss in strong tidal currents.
