Hurricane Ian Preparations

The Public Works Department, in conjunction with BrightView Landscapes, prepared for Hurricane Ian’s potential impact on the community this week. Preparations included cleaning and clearing debris from storm drains; sweeping the streets; collecting downfall on center islands, rights-of-way, and courtyards; performing checks on facility generators and small and heavy machinery; ensuring all equipment and vehicles were ready for storm cleanup; and topping off the fuel tanks and ensuring they are fully anchored.

Community Path Maintenance

On Wednesday, September 28, Absolute Concrete began working on concrete community path panel repairs and curb maintenance along Landings Way South from Tidewater to the Delegal Circle. Please utilize caution when traveling in and around the project area.

2022 Storm Drain Lining Project

Southeast Pipe completed lining of the storm drain pipe on Willeford Drive this week. Although Southeast Pipe had to work into the late hours of the night due to mechanical issues, they were able to complete the project before conditions from Hurricane Ian reached Savannah.

Marshview Landing Perimeter Fence Repair

Staff removed an eight-foot section of the wooden perimeter fence in Marshview Landing this week. This particular section of the fence had fallen due to wood rot. Staff are in the process of installing the replacement fencing for this area of the community.
