50th Anniversary Grand Finale - September 24th

The 50th Anniversary Grand Finale Event will be held at the picnic grounds at Landings Harbor this Saturday, September 24. There will be live music from The Louie D Project, kids’ activities, a photo booth, face painting, and more. Food trucks from Bow Tie BBQ, Latin Chicks, Sweet Spice, and Kona Ice will be on-site selling their local fare, and The Landings Golf & Athletic Club will have a Pop-and-Pour Bar, where Club Members can use their Club Numbers to purchase items and non-Club members can use credit cards only. Golf carts are encouraged to maximize parking. A horse-drawn carriage shuttle run by Pegasus Riding Academy will take you from your vehicles on Priest Landing Drive to the Marina. The weather looks like it will be gorgeous, so please come and have a great time celebrating this milestone!

Dry Rack Replacement Project

Staff presented phase one of the dry rack replacement project this week to the Finance Committee. Next, we will go to the Board of Directors for final approval. We expect to have phase one underway before the end of the year.

Low Country Hook Ocean Race

The Low Country Hook Ocean Race was held this past weekend. The Hook Race was organized by the Chatham Sailing Club and the Yacht Club of Hilton Head and sponsored by The Landings Company (among others). SIBC and TLSC members helped with the logistics of the event. This exhilarating event started at Hilton Head Island, sailed past Tybee Island and then through Wassaw Sound, finishing at The Landings Harbor Marina. TLSC members participated on our three J-24 sailboats. The strong winds helped the winner of the race finish in record time. The Todd Williams Trophy for the Fastest Boat Across the Line (pictured here) was presented to the winner. This was a wonderful way to honor an integral and beloved member of TLSC that we miss dearly.

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips.

Delegal Creek Marina

Operating Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily

Thank you to those of you who came out for the Paddle Battle last weekend to support the Wilderness Southeast nonprofit organization. We’re pleased to say fun was had by all who attended.

A friendly reminder to those residents with crab traps here at Delegal that they are to be properly identified and checked every 24 hours. Those that are unmonitored or not brought up to regulation may be removed in the coming few days. Use this link for details on the Georgia regulations.

We also ask that during and after checking your traps to be mindful of the condition you leave the dock. Delegal Creek is a beautiful marina, and it's up to all of us to help keep it that way for our residents and their visitors. This is our home; let's keep it something to take pride in! Thank you in advance for your efforts.
