Islands of Deer Creek Community Path Bridge Project

Staff began working on the Islands of Deer Creek Community Path Bridge Project (that connects Islanders’ Retreat to the Deer Creek Clubhouse) on Monday. Staff removed approximately 30 feet of the deck boards. On Wednesday, staff met with the engineer for the project onsite to evaluate the piles, etc. and make any necessary changes to the engineered plan for repair/replacement.

Weather permitting, the project is anticipated to take approximately 16 weeks to complete. During this time, the bridge will remain closed, and residents need to use alternate routes to access Islander’s Retreat and the Deer Creek Clubhouse.

Roadway Tree Pruning Program – Marshwood
On Monday, staff began working on the annual Roadway Tree Pruning Program. This program is completed operationally and encompasses lifting the canopies over the roadways to provide proper heights for emergency vehicles and other large vehicles within the community. Staff currently are working in the Marshwood phase of the community.

Dog Park Maintenance

On Wednesday, September 14, the Dog Park was closed to allow staff and BrightView time to perform maintenance in the Park. Maintenance included downfall pickup, cleaning the natural area, mowing the turf, fence repairs, and the installation of additional stone to the cart parking area. The park reopened on Thursday, September 15.

Gatehouse Maintenance

To provide uniformity at the gatehouses, staff are working on repainting the interior of each of the gatehouses the same color. Staff completed repainting the Oakridge Gatehouse, the Deer Creek Gatehouse, and the Deer Creek Village Gate this week.
