Chatham County Collection Update

Wed, 09/14/2022

On Tuesday (September 13), Landings Association staff received several residential phone calls regarding some suspected changes with Chatham County’s weekly yard debris collection, specifically related to the collection of palm fronds. To clarify the matter, we contacted the Chatham County Public Works Director on this issue.

He confirmed that no changes have been made to the weekly yard debris collection. The County still will collect palm fronds on The Landings’ weekly scheduled collection date on Tuesdays. Please refer to the County’s rules on this program to ensure you are following their collection procedures.

Additionally, there have been no changes to the collection of cardboard boxes. They still are collected monthly on the second Friday of the month (Bulk Trash Collection). Please refer to the County’s website for any holiday date changes and procedures on Bulk Trash Collection.

Please also refer to The Landings Association’s Rules and Regulations Section L. Residents’/Members’ Responsibility, Numbers 4-6 regarding placement, timing, etc., for any yard debris pile placed curbside.

For additional information on the County’s program, please call them directly (912-652-6840).
