Water Depths - Maintenance Dredging

We began to perform maintenance dredging this week. Dolan Yacht Services launched the dredge on Monday and began moving material. There are no plans to operate during the weekend, and boat launches will continue throughout this process.

Staff met with Myrick Marine to discuss annual maintenance to the seawall and to propose options for a means to redirect the water flow during ebb tides away from the entrance. This is to help manage the amount of silt entering the marina basin.

Dry Rack Replacement Project

Staff met with Frontier Concrete and Grading to discuss the foundations for the new dry racks. Phase one will include one existing building and the addition of a freestanding 12 vessel rack building. Ongoing negotiations and contract terms continue with two main dry rack building companies. A final decision will be made this week on the contract for phase one and details will be presented to the respective committees and Board of Directors during the September scheduled meetings.
