Skidaway Audubon News: Wildlife Rescuers Visit Skidaway

Ever find an abandoned baby animal? Learn all about the Savannah Wildlife Rescue Center, from how it handles rescued animals, to the release of rehabilitated wildlife, and much more, as part of Skidaway Audubon’s educational series.

Jeanne Paddison, a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and director of the center, will detail the organization’s fascinating work on Thursday, September 22, at 3 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church (1 West Ridge Road).

The center is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating native wildlife and improving the welfare of wildlife through education. With assistance from its volunteers and interns, the center rescued 1,024 injured or orphaned baby animals in 2021. The facility specializes in small mammal rehabilitation, excluding reptiles and birds.

The event is free for Friends of Skidaway Audubon members, and $5 for guests, payable at the door.
