Panhellenic Sororities Support Parker’s House

Women comprise approximately 28% of the homeless population in Savannah, yet until recently, there has never been a housing program that serves unaccompanied, homeless women. The opening of Parker’s House marks a major step forward in providing emergency housing and essential services for these most vulnerable women.

Panhellenic Sororities of Savannah is partnering with Parker’s House to provide welcome kits filled with toiletries for each woman at the shelter. With your contribution of $13, one of these bags can be filled with the items shown in the photo below. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated. Landings resident Linda Brownlee is the point person. You can Venmo your donation (Venmo:@linda-brownlee-1) or tube/send a check payable to her (7 Heartwood Court, Savannah 31411). A group of sorority women will be assembling the bags following the Panhellenic Brunch on September 10.

For more information on Parker’s House or the Panhellenic Brunch, please email panhellenicsavannah@gmail.com. The RSVP deadline is September 2.
