Landings Harbor Marina

Thunderstorms turned into hot and humid days this week. Dry storage activity has increased slightly as the start of school gets closer. There have been a few rack spaces turning over, mainly for the smaller boats, that are being filled from the waiting list.

The Sailing Club took advantage of fair winds to conduct training for new members.

Staff met with Myrick Marine to discuss inspecting the seawall around the basin. Most of the maintenance on the sea wall is done in-house. However, heavier equipment is needed to inspect the panels and fasteners that secure the wall. The Marinas staff completed the anode replacement project during low tide. The anodes seem to be lasting about two-to-three years.

Marina Ship’s Store

The 50th Anniversary apparel and merchandise that is remaining is 50% off! Get it before it is gone. Available sizes are limited.

The ice cream freezer is stocked with various ice cream novelties and single serve Leopold’s cups (vanilla, chocolate, butter pecan, coffee, mint chocolate chip, chocolate chip, peanut butter chippy, and strawberry).

Landings Sailing Club

The Landings Sailing Club operates with a fleet of 19’ and 24’ sailboats for members. Members pay monthly dues that allow usage of the boats, based on skill and availability. Full training is available by seasoned members to assist novice sailors learning how to operate the sailboats. TLSC members go on leisurely sails and participate in races amongst each other and other sailors in the area. They do monthly Moonlight Sails and Friday Beer Can Sails every other week, followed by food and drinks at the Dockside Bar. For more information, email landingssailing@gmail.com.

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips.

Delegal Creek Marina

We've installed eight new nylon cleats for crab traps along the inside of the floating dock. Please use them in accordance with GA law. Check your trap daily to remove by-catch and undersized crabs. Be sure that your trap is labeled properly with your name and contact information.

Gas prices continue to decline and are now below $6 per gallon. Diesel prices are maintaining around $6.30 per gallon. Staff monitor pricing prior to making purchases to ensure the best pricing in the area.

You may have seen emergency services at Delegal Creek Marina Monday afternoon. One of the workers out on Wassaw experienced a minor medical issue and was ferried to the marina, where our emergency response personnel monitored and treated him. He was able to regain full composure.

Please don't hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions regarding kayak rentals, weather conditions, or slip availability.
