Landings Harbor Marina

We had a successful July 4th weekend at the Marinas. We were steadily busy, with 547 recorded boat movements. Most importantly everyone stayed safe. Our busiest days were Sunday and Monday. Thank you to everyone who used the BoatCloud App to request moves. Keep it up!

Free Vessel Safety Check

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary has rescheduled a Free Vessel Safety Check at Landings Harbor Marina on Saturday, July 9 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Please enter a BoatCloud reservation to have your boat placed on a wash rack if you would like to have your boat inspected.

Marina Ships' Store

We have met several first-time shopping residents in the store this past week. The Ships’ Store is here for all residents and visitors. We can put your purchase on your TLA account, which all residents have, or you may use Visa, Mastercard or cash. The new online payment portal makes paying your account easy. You’ll receive an email (if you have one on file with TLA) a couple days after the purchase to alert you that a purchase was made and to give you the option to pay it online. As in the past, you still will receive the monthly statement and can pay for all your purchases at that time if you’d rather.

Landings Sailing Club

There will be a new session of the Basic Sailing Course beginning on Saturday, July 23 offered by a certified Society for the Education of American Sailors (SEAS) instructor in collaboration with local sailors from The Landings Sailing Club. The course is intended to teach the basics of sailing to those 21-years-old and older, who have never been on a sailboat, as well as those with some experience. This is a two-day course that includes classroom instruction plus an on-the-water session. The cost is $100 per student. $25 is refundable if you join TLSC within 30 days. You must be a Landings resident. If you are interested, please contact Angela Margolit (973-296-8011 or amargolit@hotmail.com).

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain a waiting list for all slips.

Delegal Creek Marina (Mike Marino)

Thank you to everyone for making the 4th of July weekend a great time for all at Delegal Creek Marina.

FYI: The ranger station on Wassaw will be a bit busier for the next couple weeks. The DNR and Carretta group will be on the island helping to preserve its natural beauty. It's a small price to pay. Delegal Creek Marina will be accommodating their work boat while they work on the island.

There were a couple of wet slips on “B” dock that reported issues with their power centers. Evan’s Electric was on-site Tuesday to check the dock power and found a couple of 110v outlets that were defective. Other than that, the electrical system is performing as designed. The defective outlets are being replaced by Evan’s Electric in the coming week. As a reminder to all slip holders, long-term use is not recommended when using the 110v outlet with extension cords on the power center. These 110v outlets are for temporary use only, it is recommended that you use a proper 30AMP marine grade power cord if you intend to leave your boat plugged into shore power for onboard systems and overnight.
