Security responded to Green Island Road for a report of a suspicious person seen exiting the woods and walking down the road. An officer made contact with the individual, who advised that he was coming from North Carolina. Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) was contacted and spoke with the man. CCPD advised that the man had a clean criminal record, and there were no reports of him causing trouble. The officer believed the man would be gone by nightfall and did not feel he was dangerous to anyone.

On Tuesday, July 5, Security responded to Westcross Road and Coggeshall Court for a suspicious vehicle report. The vehicle belonged to a resident’s guest fishing in a nearby lagoon. The guest was fishing without a resident sponsor, so the rules were explained to him, and he left the area.
