Paving of Shellwind Drive Begins Tomorrow (Wednesday, April 20)

Bennett Paving will begin paving the remaining section of Shellwind Drive tomorrow (Wednesday, April 20). Barring any weather or plant delays, the paving will be completed by the end of the day on Thursday (April 21). Please note that Shellwind Drive will reopen for residential traffic at the end of the day on Wednesday and will return to vehicular restrictions on Thursday (April 21) to allow for the completion of the paving process.

INSTRUCTIONS TO NOTE DURING THE PAVING PROCESS:

Due to the tight road conditions on Shellwind Drive, all access will be limited and you may experience lengthy delays. Paving will begin between 8:30 and 9 a.m. each morning. Shellwind Drive will be closed to all traffic during the paving process. However, we will try to accommodate specific requirements or circumstances when they arise. Cones will be placed on your driveway when paving is underway for all those who reside on Shellwind Drive. When you see the cones, you will not be able to enter through the newly paved asphalt. Cones also will be placed at the intersecting roads on Shellwind Drive. When the cones are removed, you will be able to drive on the road. Once paving is completed, access will be restricted until the fresh asphalt has had a chance to cool to an acceptable temperature (usually two to three hours depending on weather conditions).

NO STREET PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED

  • Please observe all traffic signs and personnel.

  • Please inform your landscape contractors, visitors, delivery services, and others that entry to Shellwind Drive during paving will be restricted to mail delivery and emergency vehicles only.

  • If you live on Shellwind Drive, please turn off your irrigation system during this period.
