Audubon Plant Clearance Sale April 23

Everything must go! Skidaway Audubon’s online Pollinator Plant Sale, one of its biggest fundraisers of the year, is coming to a close, and there are several plants that still need a home!

The remaining plants will be available Saturday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Skidaway United Methodist Church’s parking lot. Prices are $8 for gallon-sized pots or 2 for $15., and $3 for the smaller sizes or 2 for $5. Payment by cash or check only will be accepted.

Most of the plants attract butterflies, bees and other insects essential to the pollination of most flowering trees, plants and food crops. Habitat for these important pollinators has been declining. The objective of the plant sale is to help residents increase habitat for butterflies and other pollinators, while raising funds to help Audubon carry out its conservation and educational programs.

“We sincerely thank the many supporters who are purchasing our pollinator plants and our herbs and helping us keep nature alive on Skidaway Island,” said Audubon President Dawn Cordo. For more details, visit skidawayaudubon.org.
